NABARD ExamNABARD 2017-18National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development has recently released the advertisement to recruit 91 Assistant Managers in Grade A and 17 Managers in Grade B in its various offices across the country.
From last three years, NABARD has been conducting these exams regularly. Earlier, these exams used to be held sporadically- once in three-four years.
This is a lifetime opportunity considering the width and breadth of services offered by the bank. NABARD Recruitment 2017: Examination Pattern

The apex organization for rural development in India has not made significant changes in the recruitment procedure this year when compared to previous year.  The syllabus is more or less same. Only in English section two new types of questions -Report writing and Paragraph writing- are included. Rest is the syllabus is same the way it was in previous year.
The examination would be held in three phases – Preliminary, Mains and Interview. The candidates who score sufficiently high in the merit list on the basis of the prelims examination will be called for further testing in the mains examination. The candidates, who qualify the mains exam, will be called for personality test. The combined marks of mains exam and interview will be taken into account to prepare the final merit list by the bank.

Phase I –

Preliminary Examination (Online Exam) Objective Type: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) carrying 200 marks. Previous year’s cut-off of Assistant Managers in Grade A for general category was 112.5 Marks, for OBC it was 99.25 Marks, for ST it was 81 Marks and for SC it was 96 Marks.
 Duration: 120 Minutes Composite Time
i) Test of Reasoning – 20 marks
ii) English Language – 40 marks
iii) Computer Knowledge –20 marks
 iv) General Awareness – 20 marks
 v) Quantitative Aptitude – 20 marks
vi) Economic & Social Issues (with focus on Rural India) – 40 marks
vii) Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) - 40 marks
Total Marks : 200

Phase II –

Main Examination will be online and will be a mix of MCQ and descriptive pattern. There would two papers each carrying 100 Marks. Previous year’s cut off of Assistant Managers in Grade A for the general category was 125.75 Marks, for OBC it was 116.5 Marks, for SC it was 108.25 and for ST it was 103.25 Marks.

Paper - I

(Writing skills online through key board) General English: (Descriptive) The paper will have descriptive questions carrying 100 marks. Duration: 1 ½ hrs The analytical and drafting ability of the candidate shall be assessed from the Descriptive English paper through essay writing, comprehension, report writing, paragraph writing & Letter writing.

Paper–II

(Multiple Choice Questions) Economic and Social Issues and Agri. and Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) for General Posts and Agriculture for candidates applying for Manager (RDBS)
 Agriculture Post Duration: 1 ½ hrs. – 100

Phase III –

Interview Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II Examination and securing sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview. Marks for Interview: 25 Marks
