SSC CGL 2017 exam delayed: Expect Admit card after 20 July

SSC has lately notified about the SSC CGL 2017 exam delay due to some official circumstances. The postponement of exam was notified on 19thJuly, 2017 through a pdf file on SSC official website i.e. ssc.nic.in. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted from 01.08.2017 to 20.08.2017. However, now the first paper will be conducted on 05.08.2017.

As per the issued notification, SSC has stated the following things in the context of CGL exam delay.

  1. The exam for Combined Graduate Level examination will now be conduct from 05.08.2017 to 24.08.2017 instead of 01.08.2017 – 20.08.2017.
  2. In the consolidated date range, there will be no exam on 7th, 13th, 14thand 15th of August, 2017.

SSC has decided the following exam schedule previously.

a.       SSC CGL 2017 Online application dates: - 16thMay, 2017 to 16thJune, 2017
b.      SSC CGL computer based tier-1 exam 2017: - 1stAugust, 2017 to 20thAugust, 2017
c.       SSC CGL computer based tier-2 exam 2017:- 10thNovember, 2017 to 11thNovember, 2017
d.      SSC CGL tier-3 descriptive paper 2017:- 21stJanuary, 2018
e.      SSC CGL tier-4 2017 (if applicable): - Feb, 2018

Now, after the delay of exam, Many of the aspirants will be thinking of the issuance of Admit card. Generally, The Admit card is issued two weeks before the exam. However, it is estimated that Admit card will be available any day after 20.07.2017, as SSC is handling some discrepancies in the online application form like Scribe availability for VH/OH/HH candidates.

The admit card will be issued online on the SSC’s regional website. SSC controls all activities related to examination & further recruitment process through its regional offices. There are 9 regions of SSC; these are NWR, MPR, KKR, SR, WR, NER, ER, CR and NR.

It is estimated that there will be approximately 4733 vacancies for Grade ‘B’ and ‘C’. A total 30, 26, 598 candidates have applied this year. A few candidates who will pass all 4 tiers of the exam, will be selected.
