Lewis Hamilton wins 2016 German Grand Prix of F1

Lewis Hamilton Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes on 31 July 2016 won the 2016 German Grand Prix held in Hockenheimring.

The 2016 German Grand Prix turned out to be fourth consecutive win for Hamilton. The previous three are 2016 Hungarian Grand Prix, 2016 British Grand Prix and 2016 Austrian Grand Prix.

Till now, 5 drivers have won three German Grand Prix in their careers. With this win, Hamilton joins the league of Ayrton Senna, Jackie Stewart, Juan Manuel Fangio, and Fernando Alonso.

About German Grand Prix

The German Grand Prix is an annual automobile race that has been held most years since 1926.

The German Grand Prix became part of the Formula One World Championship in 1951.

It was designated the European Grand Prix four times between 1954 and 1974, when this title was an honorary designation given each year to one grand prix race in Europe.

It has been organized by Automobile Club of Germany (AvD) since 1926.
