The Staff Selection Commission has declared that the written examination of Combined Graduate Level posts, which was scheduled to take place on 5 and 22 May, is going to take place in the month of August. Though there is no declaration about the exact dates of the prelims and mains written examination for CGL 2016 as of yet, the commission has made it clear that the examination would take place in the month of August. Earlier, the last dates of registration for the examination were extended a couple of times, due to some technical difficulties faced by candidates while applying. Those candidates, who have applied quite late, would use this extra time to prepare even better for the examination. This time onwards, the SSC is also planning to take the CGL examination completely online. They have notified that in order to make the adequate changes, the commission needs the time and make sure the infrastructure for the examination is in place.

Utilising the time for SSC CGL candidates

The candidates can make use of most of the time, which they have got due to the delay in the examination. It has provided additional time to prepare for both the prelims and written tests.

Because the commission is considering making the examination online, the prelims and mains examination gap is expected to shorten. Thus, the candidates must begin preparation for both the examinations from now as they would not get much time in between. They should divide their time of preparation for both the written examination.
