This year, CBSE has introduced a different format for class 9 Maths exam under which the Mathematics question paper will have increased number of objective type questions. These objective type questions will be asked in different formats like MCQs, fill in the blanks, very short answer type questions, etc. Detailed structure of CBSE Class 9 Mathematics question paper is discussed below:

CBSE Class 9 Maths question paper will consist of 40 questions divided into four sections A, B, C & D.

• Section A will have 20 objective type questions of 1 mark each.
• Section B will have6 questions of 2 marks each.
• Section C will have8 questions of 3 marks each.
• Section D will have 6 questions of 4 marks each.
• Question paper will have no overall choice. However, internal choices will be provided in all four sections.
