Himachal Pradesh Board declared Matric (Class 10) Results for Kangra Region
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala declared their Matric results for the Kangra Region on 7 July 2012. The students appeared for the matriculate examinations in the month of March and April 2012.
At present, the Himachal Pradesh Board conducts examinations for classes 10th and 12th , J.BT. T.T.C. As many as five lakh students appear for the examination conducted by the Board. Also, more than eight thousand schools are affiliated with the board.
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala came into existence in the year 1969 as per the Himachal Pradesh Act. 14 of 1968. Initially the headquarter of the Board was at Shimla. However it later got shifted to Dharamshala later in the January 1983. The board initially started off with a staff of thirty four officials which now has subsequently increased to four thirty eight.
Apart from an Office at Shimla, the Board has also established around nineteen Sale Book Depots or Information Centres in the state to stand up to the various needs the student may have.
The Education Board also prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and text books for school education in Himachal Pradesh apart from conducting examinations based on courses listed.
The Board has set up approximately 1650 examination centres throughout the state.
