# How to crack WBJEE in 1 month? Strategy based on the differences between JEE and WBJEE

Every year lakhs of students prepare for different engineering entrance exam like JEE (JEE Main and JEE Advanced), UPSEE, WBJEE, VITEEE etc.. The difficulty level of state level exam i.e., UPSEE and WBJEE is far less than the national level exam i.e., Joint entrance exam (JEE).

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state level common entrance test organized by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission to the Undergraduate Level Engineering and Medical Courses through a common entrance test in the State of West Bengal.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has scheduled JEE Main 2018 offline exam for April 8, 2018 while the online exam will be held on April 15 and 16, 2018, while the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has scheduled WBJEE 2018 after one week of JEE Main exam i.e., April 22, 2018.

Let us first understand the differences between the paper patterns of JEE Main and WBJEE.

After understanding the main differences between the paper patterns of JEE Main and WBJEE, students can easily understand that the strategies to be followed in both the exam should be different. In JEE Main, students needs to focus equally on all subjects but in WBJEE students should concentrate more on Mathematics than Physics and Chemistry because of the weightage.

Now, students have only one month for WBJEE. They have to boost up their preparation to score more marks in WBJEE. Students has already completed their syllabus of all subjects, now they should attempt at least full length practice papers based on the latest pattern of WBJEE.

Students will learn the preparation tips to score good marks and good rank in upcoming WBJEE test.

Let us study about these tips in a detail.

**1. Focus more on your weak areas: **

After attempting few practice papers, students will get an idea about their weak and strong areas. Students should try to focus more on their weak area, but don’t study any new topic during last month. Students should focus only on the syllabus they have already covered so far.

**2. Focus on standard NCERT text books:**

NCERT books are very important for any engineering entrance exam. Approximately 70 percent of the questions are asked on the basis of NCERT books in exams like JEE Main, WBJEE and UPSEE. Also, NCERT books are prepared by experienced professors of colleges so there is a very rare chance of any error in NCERT books.

**3. Devote more time for revision:**

Revise the basic concepts and learn all formulae and tricks from your notes (or textbook). Don’t try to study from new book and just focus on your notes. After revision, students should attempt one full length practice papers which will help them to track you progress.

**4. Devote more time for Mathematics than Physics and Chemistry:**

The paper-1 of WBJEE is of Mathematics and students can score a maximum of 100 marks in this subject. Therefore, students should devote more time for Mathematics as compared to Physics and Chemistry. They should have all the formulae at their finger tips and they should also familiar with how to apply the formulae to solve any question.

**5. Solve WBJEE previous years’ papers:**

Students should solve at least last 5 years’ papers of WBJEE before appearing for the final exam. Sometimes questions are also repeated from previous years’ question papers. So, it is very important to solve previous years’ question paper. It will also help students to get familiar with the pattern and difficulty level of the exam.

**6. Time management:**

Time management is the key to success in any competitive exam. Students should attempt practice papers to enhance their time management skills. They should also focus on the accuracy along with the time management in the exam.
