How to stay Positive at the workplace
Workplace is never devoid of elements such as stress, politics, gosspis and criticism. Amid all these negative vibrations, it becomes a challenge to stay positive and keep looking at the brigher side even if you meet failure in the projects. Remember the famous movie ‘Phas gaya re Obama’ wherein the protagonist suffered the wrath of recessions and came to save his life in India. It was his positive attitude which kept him aflot even when he was kidnapped by the mafias. It is merely the power of optimism that acts as a silver lining in the cloud during the times of adversity. Several human resource experts and researchers have affirmed that ‘professional growth of an individual is the outcome of his/her positive attitude towards various situations’. So here are a few tips that will let you maintain positive attitude at the workplace:
1. Be solution-oriented rather than problem oriented
The first step to win over your personality is to look for the solution when in problem. Problems are never ending and they are the ordeal of your strength and resilience in the times of adversity. The ones who look for solutions, rather than focusing on the problem, emerge as winners. If your manager says that the targets have been escalated in the mid year to accomplish the projected figures, then it will be good to work towards achieving the targets with the available resources rather than worrying about the outcome. 2. Avoid whining and complaining all the time
People who waste their constructive energy on complaining all the time rather than working towards accomplishing the goals, often make people around them less productive too. So the next time you face obstacles, instead of complaining about the same to the HR manager, your manager or your peers, offer a solution to solve the problem.

3. Never Criticize

If you hold a senior position, make sure that rather than criticising the work of your juniors, provide a feedback so that changes can be incorporated with immediate effect and there is no further delay in the work.
4. Stay away from Gossip and rumours
Gossip and rumours’ have their own charm because you get a feel that no one knows the workplace better than you. On the contrary, gossip has the potential to wreck careers and reputations. They breed negativity all around and are often build on a false basis. Getting involved in the gossip about your co-workers and colleagues will drain your constructive energy into wasteful knowledge. 5. Practise Self-control
