IIM-Indore begins PGP 2019-21 batch with improved female diversity in the classrooms

IIM Indore commences class of 2019 for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and Post Graduate Programme in HR Management (PGP-HRM) on its campus. The institute organised a four day induction programme to mark the beginning of the new batch. The orientation programme aims to put the students at ease for the two-year academic journey. The current batch houses 611 students, wherein 476 students have enrolled for PGP course, 25 for the PGP-HRM course and rest 110 for the IPM course.

Mr. Madhav Kalyan, CEO, J P Morgan India, was the chief guest of the orientation event. Professor Rai, IIM Indore's Director congratulated the new class of 2019 and said that " Always remember the ‘purpose’ of why you’re here; remain ‘passionate’ about what you’re going to do here—what you want to achieve here; and always remember that perseverance is required to achieve your goals and dreams’, he said. He advised the students to work hard and note that education always makes one humble. ‘Remember that the more you learn, the more you come to know how ignorant you’re about your surroundings. Be compassionate and keen to learn new things."

At the event, top 5 percentilers of the PGP and IPM students were also given the certificates. Faculty and student interaction was an integral part of the induction programme.

Post Graduate Programme

IIM Indore offers Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management which is a two-year, full-time, residential MBA programme that is considered equivalent to the M.B.A. Degree since April 2001. The primary objective of the programme is to produce contextually relevant, socially-conscious managers with exposure to word class management education. The institute aims to fulfill this objective using varius teaching methodology such as rural immersion programme, experiential learning, Student Exchange Programme, internships, case studies etcetera. The Indian resident are required to pay Rs. 16,00,000/- fees for two years.

Post Graduate Programme in HRM

Another in-demand PGP stream at IIM Indore is PGP-HRM which is again a two-year, full-time, residential programme. With specific focus in the field of HRM, it aims to develop skills of candidates pertaining to behavioural science, analytics and emerging organizational forms. The batch of 2018-20 was supposed to pay programme fee of Rs. 16.5 lakhs for duration of two years.

Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)

IPM is a five year integrated course which is the first of its kind in India introduced by IIMs. The programme has received accreditation from Association of MBAs, London. Students passing 10+2 can get registered for this programme. Indian residents need to pay course fee of Rs. 4,00,000/- (Rupees four lakh) per annum for the 1st three years and for the fourth and fifth years it would be as per prevailing Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) fees.
