CAT 2019: IIM Lucknow has released the shortlist of three PGDM programmes namely PGP, PGP-ABM and PGP-SM for the 2019-21 batch. The shortlist has been announced on 6th January 2019 on the official website of IIM-L.ucknow i.e. iiml.ac.in. A total of 6791 candidates have been shortlisted for GD/PI/WAT round. Beyond CAT 2018 results: Statistics of Shortlisted Candidates

For PGP, PGP-ABM and PGP-SM programmes, 26762 candidates were qualified for shortlisting. Out of 26726, only 6791 were shortlisted for the PI/WAT round. As per the policy of IIM-Lucknow, Group Discussion (GD) will not be conducted, instead, WAT round will be conducted for the candidates. Programmes Offered at IIM Lucknow

Post-graduate Programme in Management (PGP)

The Post Graduate Programme at IIM Lucknow is a two year, full time, residential program. It is targeted at the candidates who aspire to become managers and contribute in the holistic growth of an organisation. The programme aims to generate capability of 'learning to learn' for nurturing successful managerial career of the PGP aspirants. IIM Lucknow holds excellent placement record for getting the entire PGP batch placed even before the completion of the course. Post-graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management (PGP-ABM)

Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management is a two-year, full -time residential course, designed with an aim to develop agribusiness leaders. Postgraduate Programme in Sustainable Management (PGPSM) is a to-year full time programme that has been designed with an aim to ensure that the future managers understands evolving and interactive nature of sustainability challenges faced by the organisations to thrive in the competitive market. Thereafter, the course curriculum has been defined to sharpen the skills of the candidates that will help them come up with integrated, holistic solutions to such challenges.

A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science/ Agricultural Engineering or allied subjects – (01) Agriculture: Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture Biochemistry, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Entomology, Plant Pathology etc.; (02) Agricultural Engineering; (03) Animal Husbandry /Fisheries; (04) Dairy Science/Technology; (05) Forestry; (06) Food Technology, Food Technology & Management; (07) Horticulture; (08) Rural Studies/Rural Sociology/Rural Cooperatives/Rural Banking; (09) Science: Biology, Biochemistry, Bio-technology(includes Biotechnology Engineering), Botany, Home Science, Life Science, Zoology and (10) Veterinary Science – with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA

Post-graduate Programme in Sustainable management (PGP-SM)

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PWD category) or equivalent, with at least two years professional experience.

IIM Lucknow Admission Process (2020-22)

The admission criteria for the PGP (2019-21) batch was announced by IIM-L for the candidates preparing for the CAT 2018 exam. Candidates should carefully read all the steps that are mandatory to follow in order to get admission in the PGP course and specialisations run by IIM-Lucknow:

Following steps are included in the IIM Lucknow Admission process:

Step 1: The CAT advertisement usually appears in the National dailies in the month of July or August. Candidates need to register for the CAT 2018 exam on the official website i.e. www.iimcat.ac.in. Candidate must appear in the CAT 2018 exam and are also required to score minimum required sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2018 exam as expected by IIM Lucknow to be considered for first stage screening process for admission for the PGP course.

Step 2: Candidates who get shortlisted in the CAT 2018 exam are then called for the Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) round.  

Step 3: After the WAT & PI round, admission offers are made by IIM Lucknow to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in WAT & PI, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others

Step 4: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the last week of April 2019 on the basis of Final Score which is derived after awarding the weightage scores on all the components mentioned in the final admission selection criteria.

IIM Lucknow: Admission Shortlisting Criteria

For the candidates seeking admission in the IIM Lucknow PGP, PGP-SM and PGP-ABM programmes the admission criteria for 2019-21 batch has allotted weights to various parameters. Aspirants will be awarded maximum weightage to CAT 2018 score i.e. 60 per cent. For other factors 20% weight to Academics, 10% to Work Experience and 10% to Diversity factor. If the candidate does not score minimum prescribed percentile in CAT 2018, he/she will not be considered for shortlisting for final selection stage.

Work Experience will carry a maximum weightage of 10% in the shortlisting criteria of IIM Lucknow for admission to 2019-21 batch. Only paid and full-time work experience of more than 6 months, acquired after completing the Bachelor’s Degree will be counted as on July 31, 2018.

A female candidate will be awarded a weightage of 5 points by IIM Lucknow during the shortlisting criteria for admission 2019.

IIM Lucknow: Admission Cut-off

Admission cut-off plays a vital role in the admission process for the IIMs. Every IIM release their separate admission cut-off which specifies the minimum CAT cut-off score which a candidate must score in each section and overall exam to be eligible for the further rounds.

IIM Lucknow: PGP Final Admission Selection Criteria

All the candidates shortlisted in the first round are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to IIM Lucknow. IIM Lucknow awards 40% weight to Personal Interview(PI), 10% weight to Writing Ability Test  (WAT); 30% Weight to CAT 2019 score, 10% to Academics, 5% to Work Experience and 5% to Diversity factor in the final admission round.

IIM Lucknow: PGP (2019-21) Fees

The total programme fees payable by PGP students at IIM Lucknow stands at Rs. 1416000/- for the PGP batch 2019-21. The programme fee does not includes any expense incurred on the part of laptop/computer, personal expenses on boarding, travel, clothes and laundry are extra. However, it is expected that the programme fees for the 2019-2021 batch may increase further as per the decision of the admission committee at IIM-L.
