Ankit: I secured 112th rank in JEE Advanced-2014 and currently studying in Computer Science & Engineering branch of IIT – Kanpur.
Jagran Josh: What are your views on current paper pattern of JEE MAINS & Advanced-2014?
Ankit: JEE MAIN requires basic knowledge of concepts whereas JEE Advanced requires in depth knowledge of the subject.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Physics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Ankit: Physics is a concept based. Reference books: H.C. Verma; for numericals: I. E. Irodov.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Chemistry and which books did you refer for this subject?
Ankit: Class Notes
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Mathematics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Ankit: G.N. Berman, S. L. Looney and other standard books.
Jagran Josh: Is coaching is necessary to crack JEE Advanced exam?
Ankit: Coaching provides the atmosphere and helps in avoiding the distractions.
Jagran Josh: Did you attend any 'mock tests'? Do you think they're necessary for the preparation of JEE MAINS & Advanced?
Ankit: Mock tests give you the glimpse of the exams.
Jagran Josh: What was your strategy in answering the questions in JEE MAIN?
Ankit: Attempt the questions of which you are very sure.
Jagran Josh: Did you follow any particular strategy in answering the questions in JEE Advanced-2014?
Ankit: Attempt easier ones first and try difficult ones later.
Jagran Josh: Is there any specific observation or tips you want to give about JEE MAINS & JEE Advanced?
Ankit: It is not necessary that the performance of a candidate remains same in JEE MAIN& Advanced.
