MICA Final Placement Report 2019: 100% Placement achieved, Highest CTC INR 58.3 Lakhs offered
MICA, Ahmedabad, India’s premier MBA institute that runs a unique PGDM programme in Strategic Marketing and Communication has achieved a milestone with 100% placements for the 24th batch of its flagship PGDM-Communications Course. The batch of 180 students belonging to the final year was placed through the Campus Placement drive organised by MICA's placement cell.

MICA Placement Highlights
A total of 78 companies extended lucrative placement offers to the talented pool of PGDM graduates. The average CTC offered this year was of INR 12.8 lakhs/annum, which has shown an increase over the INR 12.3 lakhs/annum which was offered in the previous year. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 58.2 lakhs/annum against 35.3 last year.
MICA PGDM: Segment-wise Placement highlights
Looking at the segment-wise placements, the highest number of offers were extended in the domain of FMCG & FMCD (36) followed by IT/ITeS, Internet & Technology & E-Commerce (36), Media and Entertainment (34), Advertising, Events, PR & Digital Agencies (32), Analytics, Research & Consulting (17), Retail & Real Estate (13) and BFSI & Manufacturing (12).

Recruiters on MICA Campus
To recruit the PGDM graduates, eminent recruiters such as Amazon, Amul, Google, HT Media, L'Oréal, Publicis Group, Raymond, Reliance Brands, Titan, VIP, and Wipro visited the campus among other recruiters. These recruiters have been quite regular at the campus placement drive conducted by the campus and have shown trust in the quality of the education imparted by the institute.
Other notable brands that visited the campus to extend offers to the candidates were Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Electricals, Citi Bank, Deloitte, Fieldfresh Foods (DelMonte), DB Corp, Essel Group, E&Y, FirstCry.com, Grofers, Gulf Oil, Tata Global Beverages, Havells, REC and Target, amongst others. International offers were extended by AlShaya and Tolaram Group to the PGDM graduates.
No dearth of PPOs for MICA graduates
One of the most interesting feature of this year's placement drive at MICA was that 1 in 3 students received a PPO/PPI offer which has marked 17% upsurge compared to the last year. Beyond PPOs, students also received offers from leading brands like Nestlé, Flipkart and Samsung India, after winning National B-School Competitions.

Our students excelled in national B-school competitions of leading companies, earning additional PPO/PPI offers thereof. 1 out 3 students of this batch had a PPO/PPI offer in hand – a testimony of their performance in internships as well as the talent they possess.”

The institute conducts MICAT exam, twice in a year to shortlist candidates for its flagship PGDM-Communications programme. Candidates can apply for the course online and then appear for the computer-based MBA entrance test to seek admission in the prestigious institute.
