SSC will release the new exam dates on its official website - SSC CHSL Tier-1 Exam was conducted in Online Mode across the country from 12th to 19th April 2021 (except in West Bengal Exam centres).

SSC CHSL 2021 Exam Analysis Subject-wise (Tier-1)

SSC CHSL Tier-1 2021 Computer Based Exam (CBE) consisted of total 100 questions for 200 marks in the Objective MCQ Format. Also, there was a negative marking of 0.5 marks for wrong answers. The exam will be conducted in 3 shifts:

Day 1:

12th April 2021

(Easy to Moderate)

Difficulty level of the questions ranged from easy to moderate. Try to attempt all the easy questions first to achieve accuracy and high score.

Puzzles and series questions are quite easy and are taking less time in solving. Some questions were tricky like coding-decoding. Do not get stuck in these questions and attempt rest of the questions with ease.

Practice previous year paper for GK Section as the questions are being taken from past year SSC CHSL Exam. Current Affairs questions are from sports, Important Days & Theme and Recent Appointments  

Synonyms, Antonyms, Spelling Test and Cloze Test questions are quite easy to attempt. Use rule of elimination for the words which are tough to understand. Avoid making guess work.

Day 2:

13th April 2021

(Easy to Moderate)

Many easy questions are coming from topics like Average, Percentage, Ration & proportion. Difficult ones are from Trigonometry, Mensuration & Geometry. Candidates must try to attempt all the easy questions first to score high marks.

This is one of the highest scoring section of the exam as lots of easy questions are coming in this section. Candidates are advised to solve quickly reasoning questions but with accuracy to score high marks.

Current Affairs of last one year are being covered. Candidates are advised to brush up sports, history, Indian constitution, Awards topic properly. GA section was little tougher today.

Questions are easy as you need to have an understanding of Basic English grammar and vocabulary.

Day 3:

15th April 2021

(Easy to Moderate)


Formula-based questions are coming in the exam and some of them are exactly based on the previous year questions format.

Questions can be solved with ease without using any formula. Candidates are advised to attempt maximum questions in this section to score high marks

Candidates are advised to practice previous year papers for scoring high marks in GK section as questions asked previously are coming in the exam. Last 1 year current affairs questions were asked.

Basic understanding of English Grammar and Vocabulary can help in scoring high marks in this section

Day 4

16th April 2021

(Easy to Moderate)

A lot of Easy questions came from topics Average, Percentage, Ration & proportion.

This is one of the highest-scoring sections of the exam as lots of easy questions are coming in this section.

Questions from current affairs, sports, history, Indian constitution, Awards came in the exam

Questions are of easy to moderate level. Dont make guesses if you dont know the answers to avoid negative marking.

Day 5

19th April 2021

(Easy to Moderate)

Many questions were tricky and might take a lot of time to get solved. Candidates are advised not to spend more than 1 minute on any question

Questions are mainly brain teasers and puzzles and can be solved quickly. This can be the highest scoring sections for the candidates.

Many questions were from previous year papers and Current affairs questions were from sports, awards, etc. Candidates are advised to practice previous year papers for scoring high marks in GK questions

The difficulty level is not very high in this section. Synonyms, Antonyms and cloze test questions can be attempted easily. Questions on Comprehension Passage are not coming.
