SSC Combined Graduate Level Tier II Exam 2014: Tips and Strategy- Time Management Tips

Those candidates who have successfully gone through with their SSC CGL Tier I examinations would now have to go through the Tier II Exam 2014, in the month of January. The candidates are gearing up for the examination and are in the last leg of their preparations. The examination contains two papers carrying 200 marks each. For solving the two papers the candidates get a collective of 4 hours. In the four stipulated hours the candidates need to answer 200 questions (100 each) in the two papers. Hence, it becomes very important to manage your time and go through the questions tactfully. The questions would lead you to confusion and you need to make sure that you don’t get trapped. Otherwise you might end up a lot of your time on any particular question messing your chances to get through to the next round of selection.

There are two papers namely Quantitative Ability and General English in the examination. Of these two papers the trickiest one is that of the Quantitative Ability paper. Though the paper contains questions from basic mathematical operations and are of 10th grade standard, one need to be very clear and should remain in constant practice to solve the problems effectively. Unlike the Tier I examination, this paper contain more number of questions and thus the candidate often tend to fall in the trap of the tricky questions that are asked in the paper, which demands considerable amount of time on part of the candidate as well.
