UPSC Prelims Online Registration 2019 is closing today for Civil Services (IAS) & IFoS Preliminary Examination. UPSC, on 18 March 2019, exntended the last closing date of Civil Services (IAS) & IFoS Preliminary Examination registration.

All those who haven’t fill up the online application yet, can apply by 6 PM on 19 March 2019 through the official application portal of the Commission, Uupsconline.nic.in.

As a part of UPSC Prelims Online Registration 2019, all such candidates who have completed Part-1 of UPSC Online application process are advised to complete Part-II and submit the application, immediately to avoid last minute rush. Around 986 posts will be recruited this year out of which 896 posts to be filled through Civil Services Exam 2019 and 90 Posts through Indian Forest Service Exam 2019.

UPSC Civil Services (IAS) & IFoS Prelims 2019 Notification was issued by the UPSC in the month of February 2019 while the IAS Prelims 2019 registration was started from 19 February 2019. This year, 10% quota to the Economically Backward Classes will be provided in all central government jobs as per the Government Announcement.

All those who are falling under EWS are required to get their EWS Certificate by 1 August 2019 as per the notification published on the official website. Candidates will have to submit the EWS certificate along with other documents with the Detail Applicaton Form (DAF) for the IAS Main Exam 2019.

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using any Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card. Reserved Category candidates are exempted from the payment of Fee.

As per the official notification, the union public service commission will conduct both the exams on same day i.e. 2 June 2019 at various exam centres. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have a degree from a recognized University.

Age Limit - 21- 32 years (Age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per govt. norms)

The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages (i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and (ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts noted above.

All those who will qualify the preliminary exam will be able to appear in the main exam which will be conducted later this year. After the mains, qualified candidates will have to appear for interview followed by document verification of the qualified candidate. As per the sources, the UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2019 will be held on 20 September 2019 and UPSC IFS Mains Exam 2019 will be held on 1 December 2019.

Last year, the notification was out on 7 February 2018 to fill up 782 posts in various government departments Out of 782 posts, 32 posts were reserved for candidates who fall under the Benchmark Disability Category.
