UPSEE Solved Question Paper 2013
Students always want to know about the pattern and difficulty level of paper before appearing for any engineering entrance exam. Students must go through few previous years’ papers which will help them in making strategies for coming examination.
Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) is a state level engineering entrance examination conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University for admission to undergraduate and post graduate courses.
There are three subjects in UPSEE Question Paper 2013 namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students can a score a maximum of 600 marks in this paper.
Physics:
There are 50 objective type questions with only one correct option. Each question carries 4 marks and no marks will be awarded for unattempted questions. There is no negative marking. Students can score a maximum of 200 marks in this subject.

Solution:
We know that when heat is lost by radiation then the rate of heat loss is proportional to the surface area.
More is the surface area more will be the heat loss by radiation.
Now, since the material is same, the density is same. Since mass is same and density is same so all three have same volume.
For same volume, the surface area of plate is the largest and of the sphere is the smallest.
So, the heat loss will be maximum for the plate and minimum for the sphere.
Hence, the correct option is (b).

Solution:

Chemistry:

NaHCO_{3} can act as either an acid or a base so it is called amphoteric. When it is dissolved in water, the pH will be slightly higher than 7, which is basic. Hence, combined with NaOH (a strong base), it gives carbonate and water.
NaHCO_{3} + NaOH → Na_{2}CO_{3} + H_{2}O
That's why NaHCO_{3} and NaOH cannot exist together in solution whereas, Na_{2}CO_{3} is slightly basic and NaCI is neutral, thus doesn't react with NaHCO_{3}.

Solution:
