In this video we will learn about the plotting of graphs for a pair of linear equations in two variables.

Two straight lines are obtained when we plot a pair of linear equations on the graph paper which gives rise to three conditions.

- Three possibilities may occur on plotting the equations:

- The two lines intersect at a point
- The two lines do not intersect each other, i.e., they are parallel.
- The two lines are co-incident.

- For plotting:

- Express y in terms of x.
- To introduce the integral values for x, thus solving for y.
- Thus, finding a common point for the two lines plotted called the solution of linear equation.

- While taking values for x and y, care needs to be taken in choosing only the integral values. If we take decimal or fraction numbers, then plotting may pose hard problems.
