    CSAB 2018 Special Round-II Seat Allotment Result

    The Central Seat Allocation Board declared the result of the second round of seat allotment for CSAB Special Counselling 2018 on their official web portal (csab.nic.in). But, candidates would not be able to check their result due to system error. Now, the CSAB again publsihed the result on the official website. Thus, candidates who registered themselves for the special counselling, can check their result using their JEE Main Roll Number 2018 and password. The result of the first round of seat allotment has been already declared by CSAB on July 27. After the first round of seat allotment result, candidates had the following options:

    A. Freeze:

    Candidates can accept the seat allotted to them. If a candidate opt this option then he/she will not be considered in Special Round II.

    B. Float:

    Candidates can accept the seat offered to them and can restrict (if wishes). In such case, the seat allotted to them in Special Round I, will be upgraded to higher preferences.

    C. Surrender and Participating in Next Round:

    Candidate can reject the offered seat and can restrict one or more choices. Such candidates will be considered in next round of admission and his choices above the currently allotted seat will be processed for allotment in Special Round-II.

    D. Surrender and Not Participating in Next Round:

    • If a seat is allotted, the candidate can surrender the allotted seat by choosing the option “Surrender and NOT Participating in Next Round”. In such case, candidate will get the remaining amount (and Seat Acceptance Fee, if paid) after deducting Rs 5000.
    • If no seat is allotted and the candidate wants to exit from the counselling, he/she can RESTRICT all his/her choices, in such case he/she cannot be allotted a seat in next round. In such case, candidate will get the remaining amount after deducting Rs 1500.

    Steps to check CSAB 2018 Special Round-II Seat Allotment Result:

    • Visit the official website csab.nic.in.
    • Click on the link “CSAB 2018 Special Round 2 Seat Allotment Result”.
    • Enter JEE Main 2018 roll number and password in the space provided.
    • Click on the login button to submit the asked details.
    • Now, the seat allotted to you will display on your screen.

    What after CSAB 2018 Special Round-II Seat Allotment Result?

    All successful candidates are required to report in-person at the allotted institute between Aug 1 and Aug 3, 2018 in order to complete the admission formalities. The participation fee and seat acceptance fee will be adjusted in the college/institute fee. The fee deposited by the students in any of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will not be adjusted in the fee of new allotted college/institute.

    About Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB):

    CSAB is an agency constituted by the Ministry of HRD. It is entrusted with the responsibility of admission for the various undergraduate courses offered by the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs or Triple-I-Ts) and a few other technical Institutes funded fully or partially by Central or a State government (Other-GFTIs). These Institutes are collectively referred to as NIT+ Institutes.
