The result was declared on 2nd April 2019. The result has been finalized only after addressing all the queries/representations received from the candidates till stipulated date of 23rd January 2019. Candidates can check the result from the PDF Link given below:

The candidates whose roll numbers and names are mentioned in the PDF Document are also eligible under the categories, i.e., JRF-NET and Lectureship-NET, subject to their fulfilling criteria for lectureship as laid down by UGC. The Fellowship will be effective from 1st July 2019. The result will be valid till 2 years for joining the fellowship under CSIR UGC NET scheme.

The candidates qualifying for Lectureship-NET will be eligible for recruitment as lecturer as well as for JRF-Ship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable as per the eligibility criteria of that Scheme/Project. However, they will not be eligible for regular JRF-NET Fellowship. They will be eligible to pursue Ph.D program with or without any fellowship other than JRF-NET. Instructions relating to issuance/ obtaining Eligibility Certificate to qualified candidates will be notified separately on our website www.csirhrdg.res.in.

CSIR conducts UGC NET Exam for determining the eligibility of Indian Nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and for determining eligibility for appointment as Lecturer (LS) in the areas of Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences. The award of Junior Research Fellowship to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/ placement in a University/ National laboratory/ Institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.

This year, CSIR has scheduled the Joint CSIR-UGC Test tentatively on Sunday, 16th June, 2019. The maximum age limit is 28 years as on 1st January 2019 for JRF(NET) {upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD)/ female applicants and 03 years for OBC (non creamy layer) applicants}. No upper age limit for Lectureship (NET).
