The Department of Economic Affairs of Ministry of Finance prepares the Economic Survey of India. Every year, before the Union Budget, Economic Survey is presented by the Minister of Finance in both the houses of the parliament. Economic Survey is a flagship annual document that inscribed the Finance Ministry’s view on the annual economic developments of the country which is prepared under the guidance of the Chief Economic Adviser of the same ministry.
It also reviews the economic performance of the previous 12 months that took place in the Indian economy and present in a summarized form of the performance of major programmes and highlights of the policy initiatives of the government and the prospects of the economy in the short to medium term.
In this article, we have provided the links of the articles that are basically a chapter-wise analysis of the whole Economic Survey 2017-18. It has been found that the UPSC ask questions based on the topics covered under the Economic Survey every year but the IAS aspirants find it more difficult and exhaustive to study. So, we have done an analysis of every chapter of Economic Survey that can immensely help an IAS aspirant to find it easier to study and more effective for IAS preparation.
