The Final Placements at FMS is a two-step process. The Lateral Placements program which starts in December is an endeavor to adequately compensate students with relevant prior MBA experience. The second step of the Placements Program at FMS is the Final Placements, usually held in the month of February.

Placement Report of FMS for the year 2017

As per the current placement report being published by FMS, there are a total of 209 students in the batch of 2015-17. In order to recruit the students, 81 companies were able to tap the bring candidates for running the operations of their respective organisations. Highest domestic compensation recorded for the year 2017 stood at INR 54,30,000 and highest overseas compensation package has been offered at 150,000 USD.

In all, as the statistics say, 111 students got placed in the final round and 54 students received pre-placement offers (PPOs) during their internship. For the year 2017, the average CTC stood at 26.40 lakhs for the top 50 students.  This average has witnessed a constant escalation on year-on-year basis. In 2014 it was at 19 lakhs. Further the average CTC stood at 20.46 lakhs and 25.50 lakhs for the year 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Let us see the placement offers made to the students in particular domains. The statistics represent that maximum offers (30 per cent) were made to the students pertaining to the sales and marketing domain. The second most enterprising domain is ‘Consulting’ and ‘Finance’ with 21 per cent offers made to the students. General management and E-commerce/IT/operations stood at the lowest with 14 per cent offers made in this domain.

Taking a glance at the average CTC across work-experience gained by the MBA aspirants of FMS, we can say that maximum offers (37 per cent) were made to the Fresher students. Lowest offers (2 per cent) were extended to the students with experience of more than 48 months. Moving forward with the gender bifurcation on the average CTC earned by the students in FMS, we can say that male students are leading the charts with 20.7 per cent students and 20.2 per cent female students leading the race in the batch.
