IAS Prelims 2014 was conducted on 24th August, 2014. Prior to the Examination the Union Government of India issued notification for not counting the English Questions in the final Merit of the IAS Prelims Result. The total number of questions in the CSAT Paper became only 74 instead of 80 due to this notification.
The CSAT question paper was on the lines of the past but relatively skewed towards the tougher side. Repeating the pattern of the previous year question papers, the English Comprehenson questions were in the major proportion. The total number of questions was around 21.
