    Complete IBPS Clerk Recruitment Process 2018 – 19:

    There are two exams in the complete process of IBPS Clerk Recruitment, Preliminary Exam and Main Exam.

    Main stages of IBPS Clerk Recruitment Process are given below:

    • Apply Online Registration

    • Admit Card for Phase I (or Prelims)

    • Computer-based Online Test Phase I (or Prelims)

    • Declaration of Phase - I Result (or Prelims)

    • Admit Card for Phase II (or Mains)

    • Computer-based Online Test Phase II (or Mains)

    • Declaration of Phase - II Result (or Mains)

    • Provisional Allotment

    IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2018: Prelims (Phase I) & Mains (Phase II)

    IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2018: Phase I or Preliminary Exam

    IBPS Clerk Prelims is a one-hour computer based online test in which questions from English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability are asked. More detail about the IBPS Clerk Prelims 2018 exam pattern is given below:

    The above tests except the Tests of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

    The difficulty level of questions asked in this exam might vary from easy to very difficult.

    Some important points:

    • There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.

    • For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

    • If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

    • Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process. (i.e., IBPS Clerk Prelim 2018 is qualifying in nature).

    • The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in the exam will be normalized using equi-percentile method.

    • Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculation.

    IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2018: Phase II or Main Exam

    Candidates who will qualify in the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main examination. IBPS Exam Pattern 2018 for the Main examination is quite different from the preliminary exam. Candidates preparing for the exam should understand the examination pattern the IBPS Clerk Main Exam 2018. Generally, teachers and experts suggest that candidates should prepare for IBPS Clerk Main exam directly rather than preparing for IBPS Clerk Prelims specifically.

    Some important points:

    • There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the Objective Tests.

    • For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate 1/4th or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

    • If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

    • The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in the exam will be normalized using equi-percentile method.

    • The total marks allotted for Main Examination are 200. Marks will be converted out of 100 for Provisional

    • Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculation.

    • Marks obtained in the main examination only will be considered for final merit listing.

    A candidate should qualify in the CWE online Main examination and be sufficiently high in the merit to be considered for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.

    On completion of the IBPS Clerk Mains 2018-19, depending on the state/UT wise vacancies to be filled in during the financial year (2019-20) based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/Others from time to time, administrative exigency, etc.
