IIM Bangalore has achieved another feat by completing its placements for the batch of 2017-19 in just two days. IIM Bangalore has achieved 100% placements for its 411 participating students from the top recruiters that extended 488 offers to the talented pool of candidates. With 161 offers, consulting sector stood has the highest recruiter of the placement season.
IIM Bangalore: Key Placement Highlights
- Accenture was the top recruiter that extended 31 offers followed by Deloitte that made 25 offers to the candidates.
- Candidates at IIM Bangalore received 488 offers and consulting stood at the top recruiter in the institute with 161 placement offers.
Consulting Sector: Top Recruiter of the Season
With Accenture being the top recruiter, consulting sector saw eminent brands visiting the campus of IIM Bangalore. Deloitte, AT Kearney, The Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, GEP Consulting, EY-Parthenon, Oliver Wyman, McKinsey & Co, KPMG, Nomura Research Institute, Analysis Mason, Auctus Advisors, Alvarez & Marsal, Zinnov, and IBM Consulting were some of the prominent recruiters this year among others. In the technology consulting domain, IIM-B welcomed brands such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Larsen and Toubro Infotech Consulting, Thoucentric, Accenture Technology and Cognizant Consulting. Overall 20 offers were made in this space, to the candidates.
In the Information Technology sector, maximum roles were offered in the domain of IT product management (41 offers) wherein Microsoft (7), Reliance Jio (5), Value Lab (4), Krazybee (4), Sprinklr (3), Byjus (3), AT Kearney Digital (3), Tech Mahindra (2), Servify (2), Moonfrog (2), Edfora (2), Hindustan Unilever (1), Dunzo (1), ACT Fibernet (1) and Infoedge (1) were able to hire the candidates from the campus.
Candidates received 54 offers in the Finance domain. Goldman Sachs extended maximum numbers of offers (7) followed by JP Morgan (4), Deutsche Bank (2), Citibank (2), HSBC (2), Barclays (1), Standard Chartered (1). Other Investment firms included Avendus (3), Matrix Partners (1), Tata Asset Management (1) and True North (1), Axis Capital (1), Allegro Capital (1), Arpwood Capital (1). Corporate Finance roles were offered by EMAAR (1) and Reliance Treasury (2). Some more offers were received from financial firms such as ICICI Bank that made maximum of 8 offers, and others included Société Générale (5), Royal Bank of Scotland (5), ANZ (3), Bajaj Finserve (1), and PWC Deals (1).
Sales & Marketing Sector
Brands that visited the campus to extent offers in the sales and marketing domain extended 47 offers. Anheuser-Busch Inbev was the leading firm that extended 9 offers to the candidates followed by recruiters such as Samsung Electronics (8), Procter & Gamble (4), Nestle (3), Asian Paints (3), Lenovo (3), Wipro Consumer Care (3), Bajaj Auto (2), ONGC (2), Sigtuple (1), Maruti (1), St Gobain (1) and Jubilant Foodworks (1), Mondelez (1), Dr Reddys (1), Indian Oil Corporation (1), Colgate Palmolive (1), Vodafone (1), and Coca Cola (1).
The Conglomerates that visited the campus for recruitment of the future managers extended 40 offers in the domain of general management. Well-known Indian and International brands namely Adani Group that lead with maximum offers (7) among other brands such as Tata Administrative Services (6), Aditya Birla Group (6), Vedanta (5), RPG Group (4), CK Birla Group (3), Wipro Global (2), Jindal (2), Mahindra Group (2), Reliance (2) and Lodha Group (1) visited the campus to hire fresh graduates. There were 23 more offers in General Management roles by extended by Renew Power (2), Tata Sky (2) Microland (2), Genpact (6), Sterlite Power (4), Capgemini (4) and Udaan (3).
This sector saw recruiters extending 18 offers to the candidates. Companies such as Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (1), Danaher (1), Lenskart (1) Schneider Electric (1), Bharti Airtel (4), Uber (4), Cloudtail (3), Accenture Operations (2), and Amway (1) hired the talented pool of candidates from the campus.
In the Analytics domain, 32 offers were extended to the candidates in the fast-growing analytics space included. Prominent brands such as EXL Services (9), WNS Global (5), American Express (4), Gartner (4), UnitedHealth Group (3), Visa (3), MasterCard (2), Addzebra (1) and CRISIL (1) recruited the candidates of the PGP batch from the campus.
In the e-Commerce space the leading brand was Amazon that extended 16 offers followed by Oyo Rooms (10), Flipkart (8), Myntra (7), Paytm (4), Ola Cabs (3), Grab Singapore (2), Clirnet (1) and Perpule (1). Overall, this sector also witnessed good numbers of offers (52) for the candidates on decent profiles and roles.
