From 2018 onwards, the National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Main and NEET twice in a year. According to the concerned authorities, each candidate appearing for JEE Main and NEET 2019, will get a unique paper. It means there will be no chance of cheating in these upcoming exams. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to collaborate with the subject experts for developing the question bank. The NTA will also provide the necessary training to the all the hired subject experts before designing of the actual question paper. The data obtained from the previous tests will be analysed by the agency and the same will be shared with the subject experts. All the subjects will have to work in collaboration with the psychometricians so that each test will be well balanced.
NTA will conduct the Joint Entrance Exam Main and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 in a fully computer based test (not online), but the syllabus and pattern will be same as of previous year i.e., 2018. The registration for JEE Main 2019 will be started from Sep 1, 2018. Students willing to appear for JEE Main 2019 in January, must register themselves before the last date i.e., Sep 30. In case a student is unhappy with the score, he/she will be able to apply for the exam again that will be conducted after three months of the first attempt. Best of the candidate’s scores in two attempts will be considered while deciding the rank. NTA is also going to set up 300 free practice centres for students so that they can get familiar with the computer based test (CBT). Students can find the location of the computer practice centres with the help of a mobile app which is going to be released by the agency soon. Candidates will be allowed to practice at these computer centres for an hour in a single sitting so that they can properly practise of taking an online exam.
