Maharashtra State Board Syllabus 2020-21 has been reduced by 25%. The Maharashtra government on 25 July 2020 (Saturday) announced that Maharashtra board syllabus 2020-21 for Classes 1 to 12 will be reduced by 25% to reduce the burden on students amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Varsha Gaikwad (School Education Minister) told the media that details of which lessons from textbooks have been omitted will be uploaded on the website of the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (MSCERT).

As schools have not reopened physically, Maharashtra government wants to ease the load on students, so the Maharashtra board syllabus 2020-21 will be reduced by 25% for the academic year 2020-21, she said in a statement.
While schools in the state remain closed, the new academic year has started from 15 June 2020 & various alternative methods of learning are being adopted, the minister said.
Students studying in schools affiliated to Maharashtra state board are advised to check the latest Maharashtra State board syllabus 2020-21 and plan their studies accordingly.
