Have you been feeling depressed and stressed lately due to the huge study pressure? Relax! You are not alone in this matter. Everyone goes through this phase of life where he/she needs a motivational push to move ahead. However, how will you get motivated to attend the same lectures and do the same homework again and again? We understand that doing the same thing from time-to-time bores you.

If you can start seeing things from a different angle and take your studies from a creative perspective, you will end up enjoying everything that you do. You just need to find the fun part in whatever you are doing.  Be it your studies or homework, take everything in a positive way and say to yourself – “I am loving doing it”.

Start believing in yourself, and keep the following points in mind to feel motivated every time:

Change your perspective

First thing first, you should stop forming opinions on anything based on what your friends are saying. Suppose, your friends are saying to you: “Dear, this project is too tough for anyone to complete” And, based on your friend’s opinion, you change your perspective, and start seeing things in a negative way.

Therefore, first try from your end, and then form a perspective based on your fine sense of judgment. With a positive set of mind, you can achieve anything in life. Therefore, next time you find it tough to solve a quadratic equation, see it from a different angle and try to find your mistakes, work on the basic concepts, and make a fresh start.

Ask questions to yourself

If you are finding it tough to understand a topic in physics or chemistry, read it again for 2 to 3 times. Then, break down the content in various sub-parts, and try to understand the topic line-by-line. Another way out from this problem is to prepare a question set on the respective topic, and try to answer them of our own. This will help you to figure out your actual mistakes and then you can take help of your tutor to get them solved. The important thing is to run a revision exercise as this will help you to brush up your skills.

Form a group and face the competition

Forming a group of your friends and discussing a particular topic on which you need more focus is the best way to feel motivated. This will help you to understand other’s point of view on the same topic, which may give you ideas to understand the respective subject in an effective way. Discussing a topic in a group will also boost your confidence and you will start feeling the zeal to do the best.

Ask for support

Don’t let your ego come in when learning something. It’s all about team work that matters at the end of the day. At any point of time if you feel stressed, ask for support from your parents, relatives or friends, depending upon the situation. For example, if you are stuck in understanding a topic from mathematics, ask your teacher to explain it you once again. Similarly, you can seek help from your friends to guide you in the subject that you feel needs more improvement from your end.


You might be thinking that what’s the use and practical application of solving a mathematical equation in getting a job? This is exactly what happens when you feel down and stressed. You start thinking in a negative way. Therefore, you need to stay motivated all the time, and take life in a positive way during college.
