SSC CHSL Tier-1 2020 Exam Concluded (12th Oct to 26th Oct): Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has conducted SSC CHSL Tier-1 2019-20 Exam from 12^th to 26^th October 2020 for the remaining candidates. The online exam was conducted earlier this year from 17^th to 19^th March 2020 and then got postponed due to COVID-19 Lockdown.

SSC CHSL 2020 Exam Updates (12^th to 26th October)

Candidates were asked to carry the below items at exam centers:

(a) Admission Certificate (Print Copy of Admit Cards)

(b) Two copies of their latest coloured passport size photograph (3 cm x 3.5 cm).

(c) At least one valid photo-bearing identity proof in ORIGINAL along with Photocopy. If the Photo Identity Card does not contain the complete Date of Birth, then the candidate must carry an additional original document having the Date of Birth as printed on the Admit Card.

(e) Face mask mandatory

(f) Hand sanitizer (Small bottle) and transparent water bottle were also allowed.

(h) Printout of COVID-19 Self Declaration Form provided with the Admission Certificate.

Note: "Candidates with fever, cough, etc. will be allowed to appear in the examination in a separate/ isolated/ sitting arrangement".

Below are important dates for SSC CHSL 2019-2020 Exam:

SSC CHSL 2020 Exam Highlights

The paper was conducted in Online Mode across different cities on 12^th October 2020. From 20^th March 2020 onwards the exam was cancelled for the remaining candidates. Let’s look at the highlights of the SSC CHSL Tier-1 2019-20 Exam:

1. All the questions were compulsory and were in Objective Type MCQ Format.
2. Each question was of 2 marks.
3. All the sections were in English and Hindi Language except English Language and Comprehension section.
4. There was negative marking of 0.5 Marks for wrong answers.
5. SSC will decide the minimum qualifying marks of the online exam through normalization method.
6. It was compulsory to carry Admit Card with affixed Photograph on it and Original ID proof alongwith its photocopy as well.
7. No Bio-metric Registration of the candidates were conducted. However, thumb impression of the Candidates will be mandatorily taken on the Commission Copies and Attendance Sheets.
8. Candidates were allowed to bring their own masks to be worn during the examination. However, masks will have to be removed for taking photographs at the Registration Desks. These photographs can be used by the Commission for verification during subsequent Tiers/ stages of the examination.
9. Candidates were allowed to bring their own hand sanitizers (small size) and water bottles (transparent/ see through).
10. Candidates were allowed to bring their own ball pens (having transparent outer cover). Any other type of pen, which is translucent, were not allowed.

11. Candidates were not allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the test was concluded.
