Candidates should note that the cut off for male and female candidates has been released by the commission and is provided here for quick reference. A total of 4,65,632 Male Candidates have been shortlisted for PET/PST round. Total 68,420 Females in various categories have qualified in the CBT.
It is to be noted that SSC had conducted Constable GD in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) Exam 2018 from 11 February 2019 to 11 March 2019 in the Computer Based Mode. A total number of 30, 41,284 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 529273 Candidates Qualified for the PET/PST.
According to the short notice released by the SSC, candidates have been shortlisted for PET/ PST in an approximate ratio of 1:10 (vacancy: candidates). Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates securing less than 33% marks and Unreserved (UR) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates securing less than 35% marks have not been considered eligible for short-listing to the PET/ PST.
Normalize Marks System
According to the short notification released by the SSC, selection of candidates in the Computer Based Examination has been done on the basis of Normalized Marks scored by the candidates in the Computer Based Examination. Earlier SSC has notified that it will opt the Normalized Marks for CBT and it has hinted that final merit as well as selection of the candidates will also be made on the basis of normalized marks.
