TS ICET 2021 Exam Overview: Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), conducts the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) 2021 for admissions to various postgraduate programmes under Business Administration and Computer Application courses. Candidates appearing in TSICET 2021 will be offered admissions to MBA and MCA programmes in the affiliated colleges under the nine universities that operate under the purview of TSCHE. This year, the TS ICET 2021 exam was held at 14 Regional Online Test Centers across Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh states.

This year, Kakatiya University has already conducted the Telangana ICET 2021 exam in online mode on 19th and 20th August 2021. The authority released the preliminary TS ICET answer key 2021 on 1st September 2021 on the official website -icet.tsche.ac.in. The exam which was held over a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes, consisted of questions from three sections in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format. TS ICET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Kakatiya University notifies the eligibility criteria for Telangana ICET 2021 along with the exam notification. Candidates filling the application form must fulfil the below-mentioned criteria to be eligible to appear for the entrance exam. Also, to apply for MBA and MCA, no age limit has been set. Applicants are advised to go through the TS ICET MBA and MCA eligibility criteria provided below before applying for the exam-

 

TSICET MBA Eligibility:

 

  • Candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Those who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply for TS ICET 2021.
  • They must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (general category). In the case of the reserved category, candidates should have 45 percent in the qualifying examination.

 

TSICET MCA Eligibility:

 

  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality. They should meet the local/non-local requirements as per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions Order. Those who are not of Indian Nationality must check the rules of the universities concerned.
  • Those interested in getting admission for MCA, should have a BCA degree from a recognised institute with mathematics at 10+2. The exceptions to this rule are the Oriental Languages.

 

TS ICET 2021 Registration Process

For the year 2021, the registration process for TS Integrated Common Entrance Test 2021 started on 7th April 2021 in online mode. Candidates could fill the online application form of TS ICET 2021 till 5th August without any late fee. After payment of the requisite fee amount, applicant will receivetheir login ID and password following which they can start filling the application form. The application procedure includes filling in the key details such as a qualifying exam, selection of exam centre, category, the status of the local area, non-minority/minority status, special category (PH, sports, Visually Impaired, etc.) and uploading recently clicked coloured photograph and signature.

TS ICET 2021 Important Dates

For the 2021 session, the authorities released the provisional TS ICET 2021 answer key on 1st September. Candidates can raise objection against TS ICET answer key 2021 by 4th September b 5 pm. The result and final answer key will be available on 17th September on the official website. The dates for the counselling process and documents verification is yet to be announced.

Earlier, the TS ICET notification was released on 3rd April. The online application process for Telangana ICET was available from 7th April to 5th August 2021. Candidates could make correction in the Online Telangana ICET application form from 8th to 11th August 2021. The authorities released the admit card on 15th August. The entrance exam was held on 19th and 20th August 2021.

TS ICET 2021 Syllabus

In order to prepare well for the Telangana ICET test, candidates must know the sections, and key topics based on which the question paper would be drafted. To help familiarize candidates with these, the exam authority i.e. Kakatiya University releases detailed exam syllabus as part of the notification. All the topics included in the syllabus are of graduation level that most applicants will be already familiar with. The syllabus of TS ICET 2021 includes the important topics covered under each section. Those willing to appear for the entrance 2021 must check the important topics of Telangana ICET 2021.

The TS ICET syllabus will help candidates to get acquainted with the different sections. The syllabus is based on these sections - Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability. There will be questions based on these section and it will include the following sub-topics - Indices, ratio, proportion, sequence and series, reading and comprehension, grammar etc.

TS ICET 2021 Pattern

As the entrance exam i.e Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) is conducted for admission to MBA and MCA courses, the exam pattern is same for both. The authorities have prescribed the TS ICET 2021 exam pattern for the candidates willing to take the entrance test. Candidates must have a clear understanding of the TSICET paper pattern before starting the exam preparation.

As per the TSICET test structure, candidates have to answer as many as 200 MCQs within 2.5 hours. The entrance exam is held in Computer Based Test (CBT) and includes three different sections. As mentioned before, the exam will have the following three sections - Mathematical Ability, Analytical Ability and Communication Ability. As far as the marking scheme is concerned there is one mark for every right answer and there is no negative marking.
