UPPSC PCS ACF RFO & Lecturer Exam 2021: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the UP PCS ACF RFO & Lecturer Prelims 2021 Exam due to rising cases of COVID-19. The commission has released a notice on its website regarding the postponement of the prelims exam. According to notice, the candidates will have to wait for the new dates till further notice. The new dates of the aforementioned exams will be intimated to the candidates in due course of time. The candidates are advised to keep checking on the official website for the latest updates.
The UPPSC PCS 2021 Prelims Exam was to held from 13 June to 20 June 2021 at various exam centres of the state which is now postponed due to the present situation of a pandemic.
A total of 400 vacancies will be recruited through this recruitment drive out of which 400 vacancies are for PCS, 1 for ACF, and 15 for RFO. The online application process for the aforesaid posts was started on 5 February and ended on 5 March 2021. The last date of the online application fee was 2 March 2021. The selection of the candidates for the aforesaid posts will be done on the basis of a three-stage selection process - Preliminary, Main, and Personality Test.
The UPPSC PCS 2021 Prelims exam will consist of two compulsory MCQ papers. Those who clear this stage will be called for the UPPSC Main exam which will be a written exam after which a Viva-Voce/Personality test round will be conducted. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed three examinations due to the corona pandemic due to which the recruitment exam calendar has jumbled up. Now, the commission has decided to postpone the UPSC PCS 2021 preliminary examination due to the present situation.
It is expected that the commission will again set an annual calendar to conduct the postponed exams. There are 16 examinations proposed in the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission recruitment examination calendar 2021 Out of which 3 exams have been conducted. However, due to the emerging situation of Coronavirus, the proposed examinations have to be postponed in April and May.
The commission had postponed the State Degree College Screening Examination -2020 which was to held on 17 April, then, the exam for Principal Category-2 / Deputy Principal / Assistant Director (Screening) Examination-2019 scheduled on 23 May and then Combined State Agricultural Services (Preliminary) Examination scheduled on 30 May. -2020 due to the present situation while the exam dates for PCS Pre-2021 and Spokesperson (Female / Male) State Inter College Preliminary Examination -2020 has not yet postponed.
At the same time, verification of educational documents of selected candidates of RO / ARO-2016 has been postponed. It was to take place from 22 to 24 April. This has also led to the appointment of selected people.
Furthermore, the UPPSC PCS Pre 2021 is expected to be postponed in order to the postponement of two examinations in the month of May. Candidates are continuously demanding the postponement of this examination proposed on 13 June. Nearly seven lakh applications have been received in this recruitment. Due to a large number of candidates, it is not possible to conduct the examination following the physical distance standard. That is why there is a demand to postpone the exam.
UPPSC PCS 2021 Exam Details
UPPSC PCS 2021 Exam 2021 is scheduled to be held on June 13 in 23 districts of the state from 9.30 am to 11.30 am (Morning) and 2.30 am to 4.30 pm (Afternoon). According to earlier updates, a proposal for conducting a recruitment exam had been sent to the district magistrates of Agra, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Barabanki, Bareilly, Basti, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Gautam Budh Nagar, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, Mathura, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Rae Bareli, Saharanpur, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur and Varanasi.
Furthermore, state and aided secondary schools have been given priority for fixing the centre. There have been complaints that private schools are made examination centres, except government and aided colleges, due to which the candidates have to face inconvenience. At the same time, exam conduction becomes challenging.
Therefore, a proposal for state and aided colleges has been asked on a priority basis. As per reports, a total of 6,91,173 candidates have applied for recruitment to the post of 538 PCS posts, including 53 posts of SDM.
The online application process for UPPSC PCS 2021 was started on 5 February and ended on 5 March 2021. The selection of the candidates will be done based on their performance in prelims, mains and interview. Those who will qualify in the prelims exam will be eligible for further recruitment process and the admit cards for UPPSC PCS Prelims 2021 will be allotted before 15 days of the exam.
