UPSC Civil Services 2019 Reserve List: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an important notice on its official website regarding the release of UPSC Civil Services 2019 Reserve List.  

According to the notice, it is clear that the Reserve List is not a waiting list. In fact, the Reserve list is necessitated in a multi-service examination to allow candidates of reserved categories to choose a service of higher preference who qualify at or above general qualifying standard without availing any concession/relaxation at any stage of the examination. 

It is also stated that the candidates who are recommended from the Reserve List, are placed en-bloc below the last recommended candidate in
merit position in each category of the Main result of the examination. All such candidates who appeared in the UPSC CSE 2019-20 can now download the reserve list through the official website of UPSC.i.e.upsc.gov.in.

The result of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2019 was declared vide Press Note dated 04 August 2020 recommending 829 candidates in order of merit for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ against 927 vacancies.

As sought by the Department of Personnel & Training, the Commission has now recommended 89 candidates which include 73 General, 14 OBC, 01 EWS and 01 SC, to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2019. The list of the candidates can be accessed by clicking on the below link. All selected candidates are required to intimate directly by the DOP & T.

As per the reserve list, the candidature of four candidates bearing Roll No. 0404736, 0835241, 2100323 and 6603686 are provisional. The result of one candidate has been kept withheld. Candidates can access the UPSC Civil Services 2019 Reserve List by clicking on the provided link given below.

  • Then, click on Civil Services Exam 2019.
  • Then, a window will open.
  • Click on UPSC Civil Services 2019 Reserve List PDF.
  • A PDF will be opened.
  • Candidates can download UPSC Civil Services 2019 Reserve List and save it for future reference.
