The UPSC IAS 2019 Result is expected to be released in the first week of July 2019 on the official website - upsc.gov.in in a PDF file format, displaying the names of qualified candidates and their roll numbers. The UPSC Civil Services IAS Prelims exam was conducted on June 2, 2019 across different cities of India. As per the feedback shared by the candidates who appeared for the exam, the difficulty level of the UPSC IAS Prelims 2019 exam was of 'moderate to difficult' level. As per various online portals and sources, the UPSC Prelims 2019 Result will be announced around July 10.

Every year, the UPSC conducts the Civil Services Exam to fill in the vacancies for the post of IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS and for Group A and Group B of All India Services. And, every year, the UPSC also releases the Cut off after the declaration of the UPSC IAS Result.

How to check UPSC IAS Prelims Result 2019?

The UPSC will declare the results of Civil Services IAS Prelims 2019 in July on its official website - upsc.gov.in. Follow these easy steps to check your UPSC IAS 2019 Result:

Step 1: Visit official website - www.upsc.gov.in

Step 2: Click on 'UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2019' notification in “What’s New” section

Step 3: Enter roll number & date of birth, and Submit.

Step 4: A PDF file will be displayed with names of selected candidates

Step 5: Download the PDF file and take print out of the same for future use

IAS Mains 2019 Exam: These IAS Aspirants should speed-up their preparations

Going by the trends, the candidates who are expected to crack over 90 marks in the UPSC IAS Prelims 2019 should start preparation for the IAS Mains 2019 exam.

The Candidates who qualify the Prelims need to apply again for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination. They need to submit on-line Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) along with scanned documents in support of date of birth, category and educational qualification with Examination Fee.

Expected IAS Prelims 2019 Cut Off

This year, the UPSC asked Moderate to Difficult Level questions in the IAS Prelims 2019 and there is also a negative marking for every wrong answer. Candidates would lose 1/3rd marks for every wrong answer. The UPSC IAS Prelims Cut off 2019 is expected to witness an upward trend, touching 100 marks for General Category.

How UPSC decides on the IAS Cut Off marks?

The UPSC IAS Cut Off is decided on the basis of several factors like total number of vacancies, number of candidates appearing in each stage, level of difficulty, reservation norms, marking scheme and previous years cut offs. The UPSC Civil Services Cut Off is the minimum marks obtained by the last candidate selected for the IAS Mains.
