Interviews are one of the most dreaded thing for college students. No matter whether you are giving your first interview or you have lost count of the amount of interviews you have given, sitting outside the interview room, the feeling of nervousness grips everyone. But over time you pick up tricks to impress your interviewers. You know what to say and when to say or with what kind of witty remark can you get away. But as a first timer or one with very little experience of giving interviews like a fresh out of college graduate, job interviews can be a tough nut to crack.

However, with help of some simple interview hacks or tips one can sail through interviews with ease. Like there are certain words which if you use to describe yourself can leave a great impact on the interviewers. While some must be avoided at all costs. Keeping these little things in mind can help you project yourself in a better light in front of your future employer. Responsibility

 This is one of the most desired quality that interviewers or managers look for in potential candidates. If you are able to project yourself as a person who is responsible both through your resume and your talks, you have far greater chances at getting the job. Also remember, managers look not just for people who take responsibility for just for their own actions but also for specific tasks no matter whether the task is an individual one or a group task. Tell your interviewer about your past work experiences where you took responsibility for a task and achieved a set target or desired results. This also showcase your character as that of a dedicated and reliable person.

Result Oriented

Another thing that managers love in their employees is the ability to achieve or deliver, desired results. No matter what job profile you apply for unless, you are able to produce good enough results the company would let you go sooner or later. Brief your future employer about the work projects where you achieved great results. Walk them through the problem or targets and then talk about how and what strategies you adopted to tackle the problem and achieve the desired results. It helps create a positive image about you in the mind of your employer and also develop his faith in you.

Initiative

Where responsibility is something that is handed down to your by your seniors, initiative is something that you volunteer for. When you are given a responsibility you have no choice but to see it through whether or not you like the task. Initiative, on the other hand is a responsibility that you take up on your own hence, there no question of dislike arises. Also, if you portray yourself as a person who is ready to take initiative it makes you appear in the light of a self-motivated and enthusiastic about work person.

Including a skills section on your resumes is a very common practice among students today. Almost everyone goes on to boast about the varied and valuable skill sets they posses. Though that is good but being able to compliment them with real life examples from your previous work experiences would increase the quality of your conversation many folds. Suppose an interviewer asks you a question as to what are your strengths, try to compliment each of your strengths with an example from work.
