SpaceX launches Falcon Heavy, the world's most powerful rocket carrying car into space

Falcon Heavy carried a red Tesla Roadster car belonging to SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk into space. The car was outfitted with a mannequin dressed in a spacesuit, a high-data storage unit containing Isaac Asimov's science fiction book series, the Foundation Trilogy, and a plaque bearing the names of 6000 SpaceX employees.

Space Department tasked to deliver 3 earth observation, 2 communication satellites by next fiscal

Japan launches smallest rocket ever to carry tiny satellite into orbit

China launches two navigation satellites into space

China successfully launched two BeiDou-3 satellites to provide navigation and positioning services to countries along the Belt and Road initiative (BRI) by the end of 2018. The BDS is being built as rival to US Global Positioning System (GPS). It consists of two separate satellite constellations; a limited test system that has been operating since 2000, and a full-scale global navigation system that is currently under construction. The March-3B carrier rocket took off from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the south western province of Sichuan.

ISRO launches 31 satellites along with Cartosat-2

The newly-discovered planet Kepler-90i was discovered in data from NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope. It was found using Machine Learning from Google. Machine learning is an approach towards artificial intelligence in which computers learn. In this case, computers learned to identify planets by finding the instances in the Kepler data where the telescope recorded signals from exoplanets, planets beyond our solar system.
