The World Population Day is observed on 11 July every year. The theme for 2010 World Population Day was “Everyone counts”. On this occasion the Delhi Government and Jansankhya Sthirtha Kosh jointly organised a run for population stabilization in New Delhi.

The World Population Day is observed on 11 July every year. The theme for 2010 World Population Day was “Everyone counts”. On this occasion the Delhi Government and Jansankhya Sthirtha Kosh jointly organised a run for population stabilization in New Delhi. The Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Ghulam Nabi Azad flaged off a run. Badminton ace Saina Nehwal lead 3000 children from Delhi schools in this run. The run was organised as a measure to promote population stabilization and to spread the word about benefits of small families.
