AKFDC Set Up to Offer Coaching

The Abhijit Kadam Football Development Centre (AKFDC), a joint venture between Bharati Vidyapeeth, English Premier League Club Liverpool and Kick Worldwide in April 2010 announced the launch of its first football courses. The International Refereeing Course and International Coaching Course will be conducted from April 19 by English FA. Keith Buller, Referees Development Officer for Somerset Football Association and Richard Melin, a qualified FA Referee Instructor and now FA Referee Tutor, would be conducting the courses at AKFDC, with 24 students per batch.

The International Refereeing Course and International Coaching Course will be conducted from April 19 by English FA. Keith Buller, Referees Development Officer for Somerset Football Association and Richard Melin, a qualified FA Referee Instructor and now FA Referee Tutor, would be conducting the courses at AKFDC, with 24 students per batch. Indian coaches completing the International Coaching Course would be allowed to move to England and considered as competent at the technical requirements of a Level I coach. The ones completing the International Refereeing course would be recognised as a qualified referee in England. The fee for both courses will be Rs 22000 and would include an FA kit.
