Dalai Lama succession issue: US rejects China’s claims, urges UN to intervene 
The United States has requested the United Nations to take up the issue of choosing the successor of the 14th Dalai Lama. The US rejected China’s claim to chose the successor stating that the Dalai Lama is a world-renowned spiritual figure and is respected deeply by people residing outside China as well.

Botulism bacteria are reported to produce a toxic substance that has led to the death of the migratory birds. The bacterium is suspected to spread in the body of birds through water or worms. The Avian Botulism is difficult to cure.
