1. (a) GSLV-F08
ISRO successfully launched GSAT-6A telecommunication satellite using the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F08) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota, about 110km from Chennai on March 29, 2018.
2. (b) China
Chinese space station weighing over 7 tonnes will crash into Earth on or around April 1, 2018. Chinese authorities are monitoring its move, it could crash in a northern US state such as Michigan.
3. (c) Himachal Pradesh
The Government of India signed $80 million loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to help modernize technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions and improve the skills ecosystem in the State of Himachal Pradesh.
4. (d) Union Cabinet
The Union Cabinet on March 28, 2017 approved the official amendments to the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill. Earlier, the Lok Sabha referred the NMC Bill to the Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee (DRPSC) for proposing amendments to it.

Lt Gen Harpal Singh, an alumni of National Defence Academy (NDA) of Khadakwasla, was appointed Director General Border Roads (DGBR) . He was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers on 1982. He later commanded a Border Roads Task Force in Jammu and Kashmir valley.

Win Myint, a loyalist of Aung San Suu Kyi, was elected as the new President of Myanmar after the resignation of his predecessor ‘Htin Kyaw’. Myint is a stalwart member of National League for Democracy (NLD).

The Railway Ministry announced on March 29, 2018 that it would be recruiting 20,000 more people, in addition to filling up 90,000 vacancies announced earlier. The available vacancies have now been increased to 1,10,000 from previously 90,000, announced Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in a tweet.

The Jalandhar district administration has made it mandatory for applicants, seeking fresh or renewal of arms license to undergo a dope test. According to Jalandhar’s Deputy Commissioner, Varinder Kumar Sharma, the primary aim of the move is to check the misuse of the licensed weapon by the drug addicts, thereby ensuring the safety and security of the people.

Vistara airline on March 29, 2018 announced that it has introduced its first male cabin crew as part of its plans to be an ‘equal opportunity employer’.The first set of the male crew took to the skies following the completion of a rigorous three-month safety and service training programme. Apart from Vistara, Air India, Jet Airways and SpiceJet have mixed cabin crew.
10. (d) Goa
The state government of Goa revived the Goa Regional Plan 2021 on March 29, 2018, nearly six years after it was put on hold due to protests. Announcing the decision, Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai said the developmental activities would be allowed case-wise after following a proper procedure on the lands notified as settlement, commercial, institutional and industrial zones.
11. (c) Assam
The state government of Assam has launched a women's toll-free helpline called 181-Sakhi to tackle the recent surge in crime in the state. The service is presently being launched for one shift and will be open from 9 am to 5 pm. The helpline aims to assist women with emergency response and rescue.
12. (a) Australia
Australia’s head coach Darren Lehmann has announced his resignation from the position and said that Australia’s fourth and final Test in South Africa would be his last match. The former cricketer made the announcement during the pre-match press conference ahead of the fourth test that is scheduled to begin on March 30.
