1. (b) Australia

India on February 3, 2018 won the Under-19 ICC World Cup 2018 by defeating Australia by eight wickets. With this victory, India became the first nation to win Under-19 World Cup four times. It was also India’s sixth appearance in the under-19 World Cup finals. Australia has made it into the final five times, winning the tournament three times.

2. (d) Rahul Dravid

Veteran Indian cricketer and former skipper of the Indian national cricket team, Rahul Dravid coached the young Team India to victory in the finals of the Under-19 World Cup 2018. The ‘Wall’ as he is popularly known, Dravid has played a huge role in fine tuning the youngsters, prepping them before they get to play for the senior side.

The Union Government would be constructing high-tech silos for the storage of rice in its key producing states once the technology for the same is fully ready. At present, pilot projects for rice silos have been undertaken by state-owned Food Corporation of India (FCI) at Kaimur and Buxar in Bihar to test the technology.

Shesh Anand Madhukar, the eminent Magahi writer & scholar, was honoured with the 2018 Sahitya Akademi Bhasha Samman award at Sahitya Akademi Auditorium, New Delhi. The award consists of Rs 1 lakh cheque and a memento.

Shyam Benegal, the veteran film producer and director, was bestowed with the prestigious V Shantaram lifetime achievement Award 2018 for his contribution to the promotion of the documentary movement. The award carries a trophy, a citation, shawl and cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.
