Andhra Pradesh State Budget 2016-17 presented

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on 10 March 2016 presented the Annual Budget for 2016-17 in the State Legislative Assembly.

Yanamala RamakrishnuduAndhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on 10 March 2016 presented the Annual Budget for 2016-17 in the State Legislative Assembly. This was the first e-Budget presented by any state in India.

The state government has provided copies of the e- budget for the first time to the members of the Assembly by tablets.

The current budget growth is about 20.13 percent compared to 2015-16 fiscal budget and State’s own revenue increased by 16 percent.

Highlights of Annual Budget 2016-17:
• The total Budget estimate for 2016-17 is 135000 crore rupees
• Non-plan Expenditure pegged at 86554.55 crore rupees
• Planned Expenditure pegged at 49134.44 crore rupees
• Revenue Deficit for 2016-17 is estimated to be 4868 crore rupees
• Actual deficit for 2016-17 is 20497 crore rupees

Various Proposals made in the Budget
• Training to one lakh people as a part of Skill Development.
• Green Field Airports in Bhogapuram, Dagadarti, Orvakallu, Nagarjunasagar and Donakonda.
• To build 120000 houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojana. Already 73041 have been approved by the Union Government.
• Setting up of Industrial zone with an investment of 23000 crore rupees in 5079 acres in Donakonda of Prakasam district.
• To create 5 lakh jobs in manufacturing zones.
• To complete the mission of electrifying 4.6 lakh homes by June 2016.
• Target of 4800 MW of additional power generation in the next 3 years
• 5000 hectares of National Investment and Manufacturing Zone in Chittoor.
• 1.87 crore LED Bulbs to be distributed to 93.5 lakh houses.

• Law and Order – 4785.14 Crore Rupees
• Land Administration – 3119.72 Crore Rupees
• 1500 Crore Rupees for the construction of Amaravati, the Capital of the State.
• 3100 Crore Rupees for Smart Wards and Villages.
• 320 Crore Rupees for Sanitation.
• 4728.95 Crore Rupees for Urban Administration.
• 4764.71 Crore Rupees for Employment Guarantee Scheme.
• 1195.63 Crore Rupees for rural water supply.
• 4467 Crore Rupees for rural development.
• 215 Crore Rupees to the Ministry of Sports.
• 1000 Crore Rupees for Kapu Corporation.
• 65 Crore Rupees for Brahmin Corporation.
• 710 Crore Rupees for the welfare of Minorities.
• 8832 Crore Rupees for the welfare of Backward Classes.
• 3100 Crore Rupees for the welfare of Scheduled Tribes.
• 8.724 Crore Rupees for the welfare of Scheduled Castes.
• 252 Crore Rupees for Youth Empowerment.
• 642 Crore Rupees for Women Empowerment.
• 1132 Crore Rupees for housing.
• 4020 Crore Rupees for Energy security.
• 150 Crore Rupees for the safety of the road safety.
• 3184 Crore Rupees for development of roads.
• 250 Crore Rupees for Krishna Pushkaralu.
