In a historic first, delegation level talks between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un began in Singapore on June 12. This is the first time that a sitting US president has met a North Korean leader in the last 60 years. The meet follows decades of hostility, which worsened recently following North Korea’s nuclear missile tests that brought America within striking range. After culmination of the talks, the US and North Korean leaders signed an important declaration.
