IIFA Awards 2019: Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh Win Best Actor Awards, See Complete List

Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal's film 'Raazi' won the 'Best Film Award' at the IIFA Awards 2019. Alia Bhatt won Best Actress for her role in the film, while Ranveer Singh won Best Actor award for Padmaavat. Overall Raazi won four awards, while Andhadhun and  Padmaavat received two awards each. Ishan Khattar won the Best Debut (Male) Award for the film Dhadak, while Sara Ali Khan won the Best Debut Female for Kedarnath.

Rajnath Singh becomes first defence minister to fly fighter jet Tejas

Rajnath Singh has become the first Defence Minister to fly indigenously-built fighter aircraft Tejas. The Defence Minister flew a 30-minute sortie in the twin-seater version of Tejas. DRDO Chief Dr G Satheesh Reddy said that the Defence Minister controlled and flew the Tejas for sometime. Tejas became the first Indian aircraft to successfully carry out “arrested landing” on September 13, demonstrating its ability to land onboard an aircraft carrier. 

Google for India 2019: Vodafone-Idea phone line, Google assistant in Hindi and key updates to Google Pay

The 5th edition of Google for India was held in New Delhi on September 19, 2019. The most prominent among the new launches is the Vodafone-Idea toll-free phone line, which will enable people with a poor network connection to also access Google Assistant and get the required information. Google has provided a toll-free number- 0008009191000 to connect the user with Google assistant.

Donald Trump appoints Robert O’Brien as new US National Security Adviser

US President Donald Trump has named Robert O’Brien as the new National Security Adviser (NSA) of the United States. Robert O’Brien will be replacing John Bolton who was fired by Trump last week. He will be the fourth national security adviser under Donald Trump‘s administration and 28th NSA overall. He was preceded by John Bolton, Herbert Raymond McMaster and Michael Flynn. The position does not need confirmation from the Congress. Robert O'Brien has had a long career in law and foreign policy and has worked for both the main US parties, the Democrats as well as the Republicans. 

Tatpar app: Delhi Police launches app to provide 24x7 services to citizens

Delhi Police has launched Tatpar app to provide safety and a convenient 24x7 online mode to its citizens. The Tatpar app has an SOS button, which is provided on the home screen, for urgent assistance. The SOS button will enable the user to call an emergency contact number of their choice or reach out to their nearest Police Control Room (PCR) at 100 with a single touch.
