1. (c) Mallikarjun Kharge
The leader of Congress party in Lok Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge has been re-appointed as the Chairman of the 22-member Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament for its fresh term that started on May 1, 2018. A majority of the members of the parliamentary panel, which is headed by an opposition leader, are from the ruling NDA.
2. (b) Pakistan
A group of Indian experts had visited Pakistan to discuss all aspects of bilateral ties and revive the Track II diplomacy process with Islamabad amidst the strain in the relationship after a number of terror attacks in India by Pakistan-based outfits. The original Track II initiative, Neemrana Dialogue, received a fresh start with the visit.

Hockey India on May 1, 2018 appointed women’s hockey coach Harendra Singh as the chief coach of the Indian men’s hockey team, replacing Sjoerd Marijne who will return back to his responsibility as coach of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team.
