1.(d) Delhi Crime

Indian web series ‘Delhi Crime’ has won the 'Best Drama Series' award at the 48th International Emmys. The Netflix series, directed by Richie Mehta, is based on the horrific 2012 Delhi gang-rape. 

2.(a) Jallikattu 
Malayalam film Jallikattu has been selected as India's official entry for Oscars in the foreign-language film category. The film, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, revolves around a bull that escapes from a slaughterhouse in a hilly remote village on the eve of its scheduled slaughter. The film was unanimously chosen among 27 entries across Hindi, Marathi and other languages. 

3.(b) Assam
Former Chief Minister of Assam and veteran Congress leader Tarun Gogoi passed away on November 23, 2020. He had served as the Chief Minister of Assam for three terms from 2001 to 2016, becoming the longest-serving Chief Minister of the state.

4.(a) US
The United States formally withdrew itself from the Treaty of Open Skies on November 22, 2020. The US Department of State spokesman informed that six months had passed since the US notified the countries party to the agreement about its decision to withdraw.

5.(a) RBI 
The Reserve Bank of India has become the world’s first central bank to have 1 million followers on its official Twitter Handle. The RBI has 10,00,513 Twitter followers. 

6.(d) Kerala
The Kerala government on November 23, 2020 decided to put on hold an ordinance that seeks to make abusive or defamatory content punishable with imprisonment up to 3 years.

7.(b) FC Kohli 
Faqir Chand Kohli was known as the father of the Indian IT Industry for pioneering the growth in the Indian IT sector with the establishment of Tata Consultancy Services, the world’s largest IT services provider. 

8.(a) Virat Kohli
India skipper Virat Kohli and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Decade Award.

9.(d) Lakshmi Vilas Bank
The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi on November 25, 2020 approved the amalgamation of Lakshmi Vilas Bank Limited (LVB) with the wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore-based DBS Bank in India.

10.(b) Uttar Pradesh 
Uttar Pradesh cabinet on November 24, 2020 passed the UP Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion ordinance that makes forced religious conversions punishable with a jail term between one and 10 years and a fine stretching from Rs 15,000 to Rs 50,000.

11.(c) Israel
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 2021 for their roles in establishing the strategic and diplomatic ties between the two nations.

12.(a) Greg Barclay
New Zealand’s Greg Barclay has been appointed as a new independent Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Barclay will be replacing Shashank Manohar who had stepped down from the post earlier in 2020.
