What to Carry along with CAT 2021 Admit Card?
While going for the MBA entrance exam, candidates are advised to carry any one photo identity card. Without carrying the hall ticket of CAT, they will not be allowed to enter in the exam centre. Instructions for the CAT Exam Day and COVID-19 Guidelines
- Candidates must carry two copies of CAT hall ticket 2021. It can be coloured or black and white on an A4 size paper.
- All candidates should carry pen and test-related documents. No other items are allowed.
- Candidates should wear face masks, carry personal hand sanitiser (50 ml), gloves, and a transparent water bottle.
- Also, candidates with a metal implant, pacemaker, etc. in the body should bring the appropriate medical certificate to the test centre.
- Candidates must use the Reference Number printed on the admit card for identifying the door/wing/lab at the test venue on the day of the test.
- They must follow social distancing and other COVID-19 guidelines given at the exam centre.
- Also, it is mandatory to provide attendance with a signature when asked in the CAT 2020 exam lab.
- For rough work, all candidates will be given a writing pad, which they must return after completing the test.
CAT Exam Pattern & Test Centres
IIM released the exam pattern of CAT 2021 on the official website. This year, to reduce the time pressure on candidates, the authorities have decided to reduce the number of questions from each CAT section. However, the CAT 2021 exam pattern will remain the same with 2 hours duration and three sections. As per the CAT 2021 pattern, the duration of the exam will be two hours (120 Minutes) and for each CAT section, the time limit will be 40 Minutes.
Apart from this, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad has released the CAT 2021 exam centre list. The entrance exam will be held in 159 cities across the country. Candidates can select any six CAT 2021 exam centres out of the given list while they fill the application form as per their preference. Candidates will be allotted the city of their choice depending on the availability. However, if the seat is not available at that particular CAT 2021 exam centre, then the candidate will be allotted the next available test centre.
CAT EXAM Schedule
Common Admission Test 2021 exam will be conducted in three shifts on a single day. The exam slots will be allotted to candidates on first-cum- first-serve basis (application submission).
