TISSNET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the TISSNET 2021 exam, it is the candidates’ responsibility to assure he/she is eligible to undertake the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for TISSNET exam is an important aspect when it comes to shortlisting of the aspirants who can appear for the exam. For admission to M.A. programmes at TISS, a candidate must fulfil the following requirements;
- Must possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 format) from a recognized university
- Candidates applying for admission at TISS must have passed in all the subjects
- A candidate in final year of his/her graduation or in third year degree programme and who is passed in all the subjects are eligible to apply to all the programmes
- In case of any misleading information, the admission stands cancelled
- Candidates in their final year must submit their documents before the last date specified
TISS NET Application Process
In order to take the TISSNET 2021 exam, candidates must register for the exam. The application form of TISSNET exam has been made available from 20th November 2020 (5 PM) onwards. Unlike other management entrance exams, TISSNET 2021 application process is available in both online and offline mode. In terms of offline registration, candidates will be required to download the application form from the official website and send the same by post to the Institute.

- The application process of TISSNET can be filled in both online and offline format by interested and eligible candidates.
- In order to fill the form online, candidates can visit the official website to fill up the online application form and thereafter pay the application fee.
- The authorities will send email verification on the personal email id of the applicant.
- In order to fill the form through offline mode, candidates are required to get a printed copy of TISSNET application form from the institute by sending a request by Speed Post with application form fees to Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar Mumbai, 400088.

TISS NET Application Fee
The application fee for each study programme is Rs. 1030/- (if being paid by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking) or Rs.1000 + bank charges (if being paid through bank by cash). The fee payment for TISSNET is non-refundable charges. Hence, candidates must read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the exam.

Mode of Payment
Candidates can pay application fee via SBI Challan if filling the form in offline mode. For those making the fee payment through online mode, they can pay through Net Banking/ Credit /Debit Card.

TISS NET Admit Card
TISSNET admit card is an important document which is mandatory for all the students to carry in the examination hall. No students will be allowed to enter the test centre without a valid admit card along with a photo identity proof. Admit card can be accessed only by those candidates who register successfully for the exam. It is made available to the exam takers in online mode on the official website of TISS and candidates will also receive a link on their registered email ID to access the same.

- The candidate will get redirected to a login page
- Here, the candidate needs to enter the e-mail ID and password and login using these credentials

TISS NET Exam Pattern
TISSNET question paper will comprise of 100 multiple choice questions related to subjects such as Social Sensitivity, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability and Knowledge on Contemporary issues. The duration of the entrance exam is 1 hour and 40 minutes i.e. 100 minutes. There is no scheme of negative marking in the exam. In the Pre-Written Test, candidates will be given two sections to attempt. Section one carries essay writing on topics such as socio-political, economic, cultural and political significance and exam takers are expected to write at least 1000 words. Section two will comprises of questions related to given case study. After the written test, the candidates will have to appear for personal interview (PI) round.

TISS NET Exam Result
TISSNET exam result is generally declared in the first week of April. Exam takers are required to visit the official website tiss.edu to check the result. The scorecard will be available online on the official website and candidates can access the same by entering their email ID and password.

TISS NET Cut-off
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai released the cut-off along with the result. The cut-off of TISSNET is to short-list the candidates. The final admission will be offered on the basis of TISSNET scores, PIT and PI. The weightage assigned to these factors is prescribed by the examination authority. The weightage for final merit lists for general and reserved category candidates is provided in the table mentioned below.
