The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is observed every year on 4 June to acknowledge the pain suffered by children throughout the world who are the victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse.
It is sad reality that in some situations children are affected and violations that occur may be use of children in war, killing, sexual violence, abduction, attacks on schools etc.
This day affirms the UN's commitment to protect the rights of children.
The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is celebrated by various groups and organisations to protect and preserve the rights of children. Like the "Say Yes for Children" campaign took several actions to improve the lives of children.
This day wants to make people aware in the whole world about the impact of cruelty or abuse done with children in all its forms. Also, to protect children's rights this day make organisations and individuals to learn and take part in the campaign.
The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression: History
The large number of innocent Lebanese and Palestinian children being the victims of the aggression acts by the Israel’s. So, at its special emergency session on 19 August, 1982 the members of General Assembly of Palestine was shocked. Therefore, the assembly decided to celebrate 4th June as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression under the resolution ES-7/8.

Also, if children experienced abuse in young age have more chances to get involved in criminal activities. It’s our duty to preserve the rights of children and participate in campaigns or other activities to spread awareness among people against child exploitation.
