About Institute

The Army Institute of Management was founded in 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi under the banner ‘National Institute of Management Calcutta’. However, later on the name of the institute was changed to AIM, Kolkata. The vision behind setting up of the B-school was to develop an MBA institute which will conduct state-of-art Management Programme for the wards of Army personnel (80%) with an opportunity for the general candidates (20%) as well. Over the years, the institute has grown in stature and repute and has gained approval from NAAC (The National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with A++ Rating.
