Walchand College of Engineering was established in the year 1947 by the Hon. (Late) Dhondumama Sathe. The college is affiliated with Shivaji University, Kohlapur, and since 2007, it has been an autonomous college offering Engineering courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. The vision of this institute has always been to produce competent engineering graduates with an aptitude for research and leadership. WCE, Sangli strives for excellence in research and academic programs to provide students the best learning that matches the international quality standards.
